A New Era for a Louisville Icon

The Belle’s Journey to Dry Dock

Monday, October 19th, The Belle of Louisville started her journey upriver to go to her Coast Guard mandated dry dock. In five days our crew piloted The Belle over 400 miles up the Ohio River to her final destination of Gallipolis, Ohio! Dry dock is an important part of the maintenance and preservation of our national treasure. During dry dock The Belle will be lifted out of the water so that repairs and maintenance can be done.

If you would like to contribute to the preservation of The Belle and help us offset the costs of dry dock you can make a tax-deductible donation here. Another great way to support Belle of Louisville Riverboats is by joining our new membership program, the Paddlewheel Society

Check out the photos below to see her journey upriver. Thank you to all of the crew members and spectators who contributed photos!
