Essential Functions
- Performs custodial and maintenance tasks.
- Handles mooring lines and rigging to launch or dock the boat.
- Performs as a navigational watchman while underway.
- Performs general grounds and land scaping upkeep.

UNDER CLOSE SUPERVISION:
- Sweeps, mops and waxes dance floor; sweeps and hoses or power washes decks; empties trash cans and transports trash to the dumpster; changes light bulbs and polishes brass throughout the boat; sets up tables and chairs arrangements on the dance floor and decks.
- Handles mooring lines and rigging to launch and dock the boat.
- Performs as a navigational watchman while underway; bow watchman keeps lookout at all times, observes the water for obstacles and reports information to the pilot house; swings the stage following launch and secures bow lines; dance floor watchman observes conditions including spills, obstructions of walkways and exits, and ice supply in the bar and concession stand and observes passengers watching for dangerous actions, illnesses and injuries; Texas deck watchman keep walkways clear, monitors trash cans and decks for spills, observes passengers watching for dangerous actions, illnesses and injuries; pilot house watchman observes the pilot, assures safe navigation in the event the pilot/captain becomes incapacitated, keeps a look out at all times and watches for obstacles from the stern while the boat is moving in reverse.
- Controls boarding of the vessels, assists the photographers, greets passengers, distributes and takes tickets, counts and provides information to the customers as needed.
- Participates in weekly emergency procedure drills including man overboard, fire, abandon ship, emergency steering training and Marsec training.
- Transports supplies and ice to the concession and bar areas of the boat. Assists the Food and Beverage staff with table busing and post cruise cleanup.
- Assists elderly and disabled passengers while boarding and disembarking the boat, operates the chair lift.
- Removes trash, closes windows, turns out lights and locks doors after the last cruise of the day.
- Performs good customer service, answers questions from the public before, after and during cruises.
- Performs related work and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
- Must adhere to rules and guideline mandated by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
- Must submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests as mandated by the U.S. Coast Guard, including but not limited to pre-employment and random testing.
- Must wear safety equipment and abide by the rules as mandated by the U.S. Coast Guard.
